The place is controlled by the four Ruinous Powers which strive to cut their chains, and drown the entire world in a sea of corruption. Slaanesh is the ruler over excessiveness; Nurgle, the plague god; Tzeentch is the changer of ways; Khorne The god of blood, as well as slaughter.

Two great kingdoms guard the borders between worlds: Grand Cathay’s huge empire, and Kislev’s tough warriors. Both are plagued by its own trials, and both are now forced to cross the threshold and send their armies into the Realm of Chaos.
